My New Puppy!

My dog HATED other dogs, lol. She adored other people both in and out of the family, but other dogs got her annoyed. She did have one doggie boyfriend though, hehe, but even then there was tension, lol.

Actually, of the two, Marta was the one who got along with other dogs - but if one of the male dogs in the neighborhood tried to sniff her in a certain spot, she'd growl at him. (And Mom praised her for it.)

It's Toby that we have to be careful with. He's always been very territorial.

Well it's interesting. As my dog got older, you could see that she particularly disliked young puppies. They'd be running all over the place, eager and hyper and doing cartwheels over her (I kid you not lol). And my dog would literally look like a disaproving adult, shocked at their wild behavior (all of which of course, she's been known for as a pup, lol).

It's official; we're getting a new puppy. We went to visit the breeders this afternoon, and Mom signed all the paperwork and handed over the money; the pup's coming home around the end of March.

She's a German shorthaired pointer, the same breed as Marta. We haven't decided on a name for her yet, but we've been throwing them around. Anyway, she's very sweet, and very active - I commented to heralde that if Marta was Mokey (with shades of Wembley and Boober), this pup's definitely Red. She kept licking our faces, running around and chewing on everyone's jacket sleeves and shoelaces.

Aww, I'm so glad you made it official! I really hope it works out.

Yeah one of the hardest things can be deciding on a name.
