I was working in a dead-end insurance job that you all know I disliked for years, and long ago I had decided that as soon as something came along that would meet or beat what I was currently making there I'd burn a trail outta there quick.

Well, my buddy Lin (you all know him) works at a place that sells headstones. I got the job there making lots more money and working less hours by selling grave markers and one day in the near future when things get busier in the monument portion of the business I'll move there and they'll get another salesman so I can start helping to design headstones.

Things are going to be getting really good for me nowadays, and I'm excited. All the people who work there are very nice and I'm fortunate this opportunity opened up for me.

Congrats on finding a better job! I know the feeling, but I'm still looking for something myself. Anyway, I'm very happy for you!

Good for you, Kev!

It's nice to know that success in the workplace is still a possibility these days. My husband has a dead-end job selling wireles phones, but someday I would love to see him be able to break out of that mold and start making something with the photography talent he has (my avitar is a picture he took). Hearing success stories like yours helps me not loose hope that, someday, we'll be able to do the same. Good luck!

That's great Fozzie! Neat that both you and I had this open up at the same time and that we both started the same title for a new thread in sharing it! Best wishes to you.

Here's to hoping that business won't be dying down any time soon!

Wocka wocka!

No, really, I'm dead serious! Congratulations!
