My mother may have cancer

Mum has had a biopsy on her face. She has a lump underneath one eye that's grown so big it's essentially pushing her eye shut. They think it could be some form of cancer but thank Christ it seems to be treatable at this stage. Now she's waiting for word from the hospital in the major city for when she can go for radiation or kemotherapy to shrink it down for easy removal. It isn't really as big as it could be and may be benign but the best thing is for it to come out. I'm praying that God may use this in His own mysterious way to strengthen Mum's Christian faith since the days of our fights and conflicts when I still lived with her and Nan and Aunt Fran. My dorm-mate Bill has promised to pray with me for her so I'm positive that things will work out well:smile:

Please pray for her as well my Christian friends. Prayer is the strongest source of hope we can make use of.:halo:

I know how scary that can be. I lost my mother to breast cancer in the late 70's before they had a better understanding of the disease. Fortunately now, technology has come a long way and I'm sure your mother is in the best of hands. I'll be sure to add your mother, you and the rest of your family to my prayer list, Martin.

Sorry to hear about your mum, Martin. Cancer can be very scary, but they have so many new things to treat it now. I'll pray for your mum and her doctors while they are in these early stages or treatment. Keep us posted, 'kay?
