Thanks for all your thoughts, prayers, and support. It really helps to know people care!
But we have some good news. The colonoscopy Thursday showed that whatever it is, it is not colon cancer. That was a great relief, but the doctor still couldn't tell what it is. So she went through a few more tests (CAT scan and Ultrasound) and it turns out that there is a small pocket of some sort of liquid on the outside wall of her colon.
Now, until they test the liquid, there is still no telling what it might be, but it doesn't look like cancer or anything scary like that. On Monday, her doctor will extract some of the liquid for testing and then we'll go from there.
In the meantime, Mom is home and doing well. She's recovering from the hysterectomy just fine, and with my aunt here to help us take care of things, Dad and my brother and I are all doing fine. My sister and grandparents will be here sometime in the next week or so.
