Well done Stacey, great voice, timing and puppetry. You remind me a little of Karen Prell.

Again, thanks guys!

Puppetry for video isn't necessarily something I ever thought I'd like, now its something I think I'd like to do a lot more of. I know my skills aren't where they need to be...I'm really very anxious for summer festivals to peek their head around so I can learn more.

I do have the advantage of working at the home of the Puppeteers of America's A/V Library...I'll be heading over there tomorrow morning for something else. I'll poke my head around upstairs & see what I can find.

Any recommendations on what to watch, specifically?

Stacey,

I'll let others who are more familiar with the PPoA video library make specific recommendations. That said, you will be well served by watching as much classic Henson TV puppetry as you can get your hands on. As Andrew posted earlier, studying the way Jim and his creative team staged scenes and composed shots (and set design composition) specifically for the TV frame has been, and continuous to be, an enriching course of learning for me.

Watch Henson's commercial shorts on YouTube also for his basic but very effective camera and editing techniques that help focus viewer attention throughout the clips http://www.youtube.com/user/batman1971

Thanks guys! man, I've never even thought about my voice before...

I'll try to get the director's cut put together here pretty soon. When I have extra time...(does that exist? extra time?). I'm too ashamed to put up the version that won, since its so badly dubbed & very, very short. I guess if you're not a puppeteer it isn't so noticeable?

Anyway, maybe I'll work on that a little bit today? This has gotten me all excited to do it...I need to learn to balance plates on my feet.

And THAT is precisely why I wear Playtex Living Gloves on my feet---and yet, still they stare.

*shakes head in bewilderment*
