Thank you everyone for your prayers and sympathy, I really appreciate it.

Everything went well at the funeral yesterday, I suppose as well as a funeral can go. He really looked at peace and that was a big deal to me. My pawpaw was a mean man at times but we still loved him anyway. I think that my son has taken it the hardest because he was REALLY close to him. It breaks my heart everytime my son cries and asked why did Pawpaw leave him and that he lost his fishing buddy. Sometimes you just don't know what to say. Yesterday the preacher suggested that if he doesn't get any better to come see him and he will try to help him out. My son is only 10 but he is at the age that he understands what is going on. Pawpaw was the first one to take him fishing and that is a bond that they shared. The past few years has been hard on my pawpaw and he hasn't been able to fish because of his health, so my son said that he is fishing up in heaven as much as he wants and they are using golden fishing poles that God gave them. (pawpaw's best friend and other fishing buddy passed away last year and they are buried about 50 feet or so away from each other)

So hopefully over time my son will get better with this and instead of sorrow find happiness in the memories he shared with him. I think that is about all we can do.

Thanks again and Bless you all!
~Angela

Awwww Angela....your poor son:sympathy:
But tell your son that he's right by saying that your grandfather is fishing with a golden pole with his friends who have passed on before him.
Your preacher was very kind by telling you that your son could come see him.
I still have you & your family in my prayers.

Same here Angie. We're all here for your family and you. We love you so much in our computer family. My mom's friend had some bad news just yesterday. Her son was in a car accident and died. I didn't know if I should have put this in another thread but I thought since I knew him a little I would.

It's nice to know that your son has your pastor and such a good mom to let him open up and discuss his feelings. I'll continue to pray for you and your son.

All I can say is that I send you my condolences SB. Death is one of the hardest things a person can go through. Just remember these two songs from the Muppets.

Our love goes out to you and your family.:frown: :sympathy:

At this new job of selling markers and memorials I always feel so sorry for so many people. I hear stories about children, parents, grandparents...but, I am glad to say we at least have better prices than everywhere else could possibly have and that makes people happier, let alone the fact that they appreciate someone who is nice to them.
