Ive been loving seeing everyone's figure collections on here for the past few years...though I have noticed they are mostly all Palisades related.

For 12 years on here, people have known me to blather on about
my love of smaller scale Muppet figures, and the overall 3 3/4 to 4" scale of 80's and 90's action figures. So here's a small part of my large small(er) Muppet/Henson related figure collection. Im in the process of moving so a lot of my stuff is boxed up in storage, but here's some of it:
(note: most these are jointed/articulated tho some are more of the pvc type
Also, I purposefully left out my fraggle rock pvc/figurine collection for another time)

When I unpack and go through everything I'll post more. Sadly, there just have not been all too many smaller/jointed figures, even pvc figures have been hit or miss over the years.
(Hoping that changes with Disney's merchandising muscle!)

Anyone else collect this scale of figures?

Cool collection! I gotta ask, where's that Cookie Monster in the second picture from? He's AWESOME!

I've got a lot of stuff like this; the JITB Muppets, vintage FP stick-puppet Muppets, McD's Muppet Workship Monster figures, various mini-figures, and I'm (finally) getting to pick up the Star Wars Muppets set next month when we go to Disneyland.

I never knew that articulated Oscar, Grover, and Bert & Ernie existed in that scale with Big Bird and Cookie holding a cookie (that Cookie Monster I do have). Very cool.

I really like the customized Mini-Muppets, especially Statler and Waldorf.

Oh thanks. The Cookie Monster was picked up in a retro/vintage/vinyl toy shop. It has a 1980 copyright on the bottom, Im guessing it was from some sort of Ultraman/Kaiju type manufacturer as it reminds me of the Ultraman villain vinyl toys.

Im really hoping Disney releases Jack in the Box 2003/1978 Fisher Price scaled Muppet figures, I can just imagine how many characters we could get. They kind of are doing that this spring with the Muppet Star Wars figures which will be articulated with packins and accessories. Oh youll love the Muppet Star Wars pvc set, I picked one up at the toy store, tho it is fun to buy stuff at Disneyparks. I love the little Rizzo Yoda. Sadly he wont be part of the first wave of the posable SW Muppet line.

Oh the posable Sesame action figures are from 1985 from a company called Tara Toys

Of that set was Big Bird, Oscar, Grover, Cookie Monster, Bert and Ernie. In 1998 a company called Tyco, which at the time was pretty much identicle to Fisher Price products for toddlers came out with a set that had an articulated pink martian yip yip in the same scale, but saldy other than that theres been no other jointed Sesame figures in that scale. A ton of pvcs tho, of virtually every character(Applause, Tyco, etc)

Thanks! Sometimes with any figure I collect I want to change the paint scheme. The only full 100% custom in my pictures is the Droop I made a few years ago out of sculpey. Ive thought about creating more professional customs using existing parts. Some I have made into jointed figures.

Funny thing is I now know how to make from scratch mold injection figures. Ya just get a bucket after you mold your parts(or reverse engineer an existing figure you take apart) pour in silicon, let it sit, then when you break away the rubbery like silicon mold ya can pour in two parts vinyl, or rubber or resin, or plastics. Just has to be done outside with those masks. My friend does it, in homage to the urban vinyl stuff and to create wholly unique Star Wars builds. Always thought itd be cool to make one piece extensions to the 2003 Palisaides mini line or custom figures based off the bigger Palisades line
