I still have my centuries-old (by today's standards) CD player... as long as I still have that, do I really need all of these fancy-dancy pea-sized thingamadoodies to listen to music?
I LOVE this quote! Though I respect how easy it is to flip on the Ipod with all the songs on it, (and understand people's love for them) I still don't need one, and I simply adore music. So I agree with you, well said! :wisdom:

I take pride in never downloading a song. If I want it, I will buy the CD. Heck, if I had a record player I'd buy the records. Theres something not as compelling about just having a file on a thingy. Having a physical thing to hold has more meaning :stick_out_tongue: I love reading liner notes and looking at the pictures in the book,. with a download or file, I cant do that

My family used to have a record player, kept in the basement. It got ruined several years ago, along with a couple of boxes filled with records, in spring flooding. Gotta love that Red River Valley floodplain.

For me it varies, depending on where I am. I do have an iPod, which is good for when I'm out and about (though I don't use it everytime I leave the house), and I can plug it into the car, though all the music files on it are mp3, and they sound really compressed (although I choose to have it that way so I can fit more songs on), though it doesn't worry me too much. CD's are fantastic, even though the ones I want are generally not cheap, but they're just so convenient and don't take up much space at all. Plus, that's where I get three quarters of my music from to put onto my iPod. Out of all music devices I buy vinyl the most. It's cheap (uhhh... depends, actually. Usually on your taste, and your luck. xD)... ish, sometimes, but there's something I love about it. Also the fact that I'm fortunate enough to own a record player (I have one in my room, which was my Dad's from the late 70's), which I play daily, so I like to make the most of it, I guess.

Count me among those who hasn't yet gone the ipod route and listen to stuff on cd, tape and vinyl.

When I listen to music I like to listen to the Radio Classic Rock 101.1 or just pop in a CD and play that on my player I have or Much Music on the TV.

Who uses what to listen to their music? I have a GoGear Vibe.

I'm on the computer a lot, so I tend to listen through music on iTunes. If I'm away, I might use my iPod.
