Just a reminder today on NBC is the big NASCAR Winston Cup race. Eight Muppet cars will be raced on the track along with the special Muppet Show anniversary event car. The pre-race show will begin on NBC at 2:00 pm eastern and the race will begin at 2:30 eastern.

Let us know what you think about the race and the Muppet cars!

I was a little disappointed that there was absolutely no mention of why the Muppet cars were there with the exception of a few brief color comments that Fozzie was on a Car and Piggy was on a car. Fun seeing them race Just wish NBC would have taken 3 seconds to say that the Muppets were there, especially with there new relationship with the TV movies.

Yeah the other night on QVC they went into some detail about the anniversary including interviews with Kermit, Piggy and Pepe. It was neat to hear how the characters were matched up with different drivers. Even Fox on Saturday spent quite a bit of time talking about the Muppets.

I wouldn't be surprised if due to the last-minute "licensing" issues NBC kept the Muppet coverage to a minimum. What a shame with such a high-profile promotional event.
