Muppets & Purple Tuxes??

I don't know if you guys have really thought about this, but how come in many of the episodes mainly the first season of the ms loads of the guys r wearing purple or brown tuxes- Animal, Floyd, igel, Kermit (sometimes) and all the tiime Gonzo, whats with it!! i don't hav a problem with it, actually i like it but wat do u guys think??:concern:

It's explained in the Muppet Morsels section on the Disney DVD of TMS Season One. Can't remember off-hand though why they used purple.

I can recall that they said that they wanted to use a dark color other than black.

That's the best I can remember from when I sat through the Morsels.

Anyone ever been to a wedding where they wore those sorta tuxes? It'd be a hoot and half...

Janice and Lips also wore a purple tux too. Lips was added to the 5th season of the muppet show pit and Jance would play in a few numbers with the pit band too.

Imagine if Sweetums wore one of those things.........

This may be the fandom talking, but floyd looks kinda good in purple:flirt:

I've always liked Floyd in a red suit. But hey, that's just me.

The only person that can pull off purple is the Joker!!:wink:

through all of the muppet show the purple tux was Gonzo's costume until muppet caper when he started wearing that grey diomand tank top
