It literally closed while I was looking at it...I'm wondering if an ex-Creature Shop employee was selling things they shouldn't be and the CS complained.

Ive seen his stuff on Ebay before just not the store. I think it closed because he was not getting any bids on items. That happens sometimes when an item has no bids for a while. It will then say that the item was removed due to inactivity. Also could be that Ebay removed it.
