I think this appearance might have something to do with the fact that Extreme makover home edition is having special celebrities helping each episode this season.

Is it sad that I'm nerdy fan girl giddy over the fact that Kermit was mere miles away from me and I didn't even know it? I knew they were doing another Extreme Makeover here, I didn't know the Muppets were involved! Awesome!
