Muppetfest 2003

Oh, if MF2003 is in NYC this next year, there is a MUCH better chance of my family and me attending! It's not as long a drive from here to there!

The only thing holding us back would be family problems in the middle of the country (dad is really ill)...and money, but I guess we can start saving up for it, right?

Who would we like to see there? Besides all of you and all the Muppet characters we have ever known, including "Aliens in the Family" (Henson DID do that, right)?

How about some of the guest stars from the movies and shows? I'd love to see David Bowie with my son (he was NAMED for this goblin king!), Tim Curry standing next to me doing that wonderful intake of breath that sends shivers up my spine (and makes my knees turn to jelly), Carol Burnette in her wonderful asparagus costume, perhaps Gene Wilder as a tribute to Gilda Radner for her "Pirates of Penzance (my spelling!)" with the giant carrot.

This and so much more runs through my head in quick flashes; so quick that I can't catch them all!

Well, let's boil it down to these basics for the MuppetFest 2003:

1) my family and me!
2) All the Muppet character and Creature Workshop creatures you can POSSIBLY think of in any way, shape or form!
3) Brian Henson and all Muppet-teers, voices, et.al. AND Jim's wife AND of course Frank Oz!
4) Guest stars, Musicians, bands, stuff to buy and freebies!
5) Enough money to fund all the things we will want to buy, do and see plus LIVE while at the Fest in NYC...('nuff said)

Anyone have any thoughts to this?

You'll all say duh, but how do you get involved with MuppetFest 2003?

Hey, any of you who went to MuppetFest last year, i want to know about it. Since I'm new I guess I'm sort of out of the loop. What goes on? How do you get involved? Where exactly is it gonna be? Tell me everything! (I doubt I'll be able to go, but I still don't want to be left out!)

Yes, we will absolutely keep talking about it and updates will definitely be reported here (you'll also be able to find them on the home page). MuppetFest 2 threads have been popping up from time to time since the first MuppetFest took place. When a bit of news or a rumor comes down, the threads heat up, then die down again as we wait for official news.

The best way to get all the news is to sign up for the MuppetFest mailing list. Go to the official MuppetFest site:

http://www.creationent.com/muppet_fest/index.html

and scroll down. At the bottom of the page you can enter your email address to be added to the mailing list.

As far as we know, MuppetFest 2 will take place in the Spring-- most likely early March. It will probably be in the New York City area. We just have to wait for Creation Entertainment and Henson to make an official announcement....

Basically I would just sign up to all the online Muppet mailing lists you can. And keep checking back on top news stories...so yeah, we're discussing Muppetfest 2003, but just wait til it is officially announced, as OH BOY! Then you'll really see the threads and posts rack up!

Ack, I was fooled. Well, there have been others who said they were 10 or 11 on here, so who knows.
