You were right - it's me who got it wrong. A lot of people to do with this said June before the whole March possible date was given. I just got mixed up !
Originally posted by grail you know, i can't decide how to take that news about the Fraggles. i'm either sad, or angry. one would think they would be able to store the things in such a way that they might be preserved for possible future use, because i would LOVE to see a Fraggle return. not to be crass, or anything...but with the exception of Cantus and Convincing John, pretty much all the original voices are still around. and a new show like that could REALLY help Henson right about now...get the adults that grew up on it AND their children to watch.
I agree 100%. My info was from Terry (Butchcat) who was at the recent Fraggle Rock cast reunion and he explained to me that those puppets needed to be continually used and handled to stop the deterioration. Nobody touched them for years though. If theres hope of a new series i'm sure they'll make some more but Henson don't have the money to make them just for the sake of it right now. It's very sad indeed.
As for Hoobs, i'd be happy to tape it for you anytime although the UK is PAL format, U.S is NTSC. We can play NTSC on our VCR's but i'm not sure if you can watch PAL ? If not, Hoobs is aired in Canada so that might be a good bet.
so is this where i start cursing you and your foreign technology? i totally forgot about the change in standards, and i'm pretty sure i can't play PAL tapes. i had that He-Man tape on the brain, i guess...(speaking of which, check your email)
btw...i am now QUITE bummed about Fraggles...i keep picturing poor little moth riddled and disintegrating Gobo and Mokey and Red...that's horrible...
I will most likely be there, as long as school doesn't get in the way. March is around the time for final exams, and I'm not going to miss any exams. However, I'll worry about that later.
Besides, if I say I can't go, I know people will come to my house an borrow me for that weekend...
