I just read about this in the ToughPigs forums and thought it was endearing. Searched here but didn't see an existing thread, and am not entirely sure where it should be categorized. Mods, feel free to move or combine...

So a guy named Sid Ceaser (really) wanted to finally make it official with his gal-of-ten-years Sara Prindiville... and he had the outta-the-park idea to order Whatnots in their likenesses and shoot a movie trailer recounting their lives together as his proposal, and then actually get it shown on the big screen.

Actually, I find his behind-the-scenes story of the whole project far more moving than the trailer, so here's that link too...

Am I the only one who may need a hankie?

Awwwww.

A friend of mine, an animator for Squidbillies, animated his proposal and popped the question in person in synch with his cartoon self. This is at least that awesome.

And then I cried. A lot.

Newest dream proposal for me? Oh yes.
