Well I have seen the Willy Wonka movie a million times and I am the worlds biggest Muppet fan and I know most of the Muppet characters by heart.

When I first thought about the Muppets doing there version of Willy Wonka I definitely saw Gonzo playing the part of Willy Wonka because Wonka's character seems to really fit Gonzo's character so well.
