Well, I think he compiled his list prior to MFS, in which JHC announces that our weirdo frackle is actually an alien.

Is Gonzo officially now an alien, or was that just a bit for the movie? To me he will always be a whatever, but when it comes to future shows and stuff will they just call him an alien?

Nope. I think even at Muppet Fest he aluuded to that was just a movie. MFS isnt even a part of true Muppet canon anyways. So yeah...definately not a alien...more like an undefined blue weirdo!

Write an article and post it on Muppet Central! That what you should do beaker since you seem to know the cannon pretty well....

I don't remember Gonzo saying during MFest that he wasn't an alien. As a matter of fact, I DO remember him on the Today Show stating that we finally find out where he comes from (maybe someone can back me up there).

I have no problem accepting the fact that what was once a frackle became called a "whatever" or "weirdo" by the fellow Muppets (Kermit or Piggy for example), but that perhaps all frackles might be from some foreign planet in the story.

But to knock him back to ONLY a whatever, you then have to disregard his history as a frackle first, which he was prior to his break-out performances on The Muppet Show.

I feel that it's okay, but just not something we would discuss at family reunions.
