Teresa Brewer’s signature song, Music! Music! Music! was actually a B-side rather than an A. She re-recorded it quite a few times over the years, however here is the original 1950 version.

Marvin Gaye’s version may be the “definitive”, however I prefer Gladys Knight and the Pips’ version which was the second to be recorded but the first to be released.

Of the three songs he performed, The Show Must Go On is the one that gets little to no air play on the radio these days. Which is a shame as it was Leo Sayer’s first hit back in 1973.

Crystal Gayle didn’t perform any of her singles on TMS. Instead, she only performed two tracks from the same album. Here’s the first - River Road.

A song that has confused US Muppet fans over the years was performed by Marty Feldman and a group of Whatnot Policemen. The song in question is The Laughing Policeman, a Music Hall song from the 1920's. Recorded twice by Charles Penrose (the original 1922 Regal label recording used the stage name Charles Jolly) the more famous version was recorded on the Columbia label in 1926.

Another song that has confused American fans. This song was recorded by the British Radio comedy team the Goons. The Goons consisted of Sir Harry Secombe, Peter Sellers and Spike Milligna, that well known typing error. This song was recorded in 1956 and released on the Decca label as a B-side. Milligan and Sellers are the two principal singers, while Secombe speaks his line in the middle of the song. Here is Ying Tong Song.

During the Sam and Friends years, the Muppets lip synced to some Christmas records. Here’s one of them - Mel Blanc’s Christmas Chopsticks.
