ONE thing I'd have to point out: Kermit just hasn't had the same look anyway since Jim Henson has been gone. Even the posers don't seem to have the same smile anymore. There's a bit of a 'frown' to his look since 1990.

I would say that whoever dude is making these would make money if he'd sell his patterns. I'd like to make this stuff just to play with around the apartment--but, before I do that, I have a whole load of my own characters I have to create first.

Though, to make a Muppet Penguin would be fun and possibly quick and easy.

Not bad, but good heavens- A THOUSAND DOLLARS for a "Kermit" that looks... a bit off? Wow. I remember back in the day (1970s with Star Trek and Star Wars stuff) when bootlegs cost LESS than real deals!

Not to mention $3000 for Piggy. No wonder she's such a diva. Sheesh!

Maybe you've discussed this a thousand times but I have to admit that I haven't vissited the forums for a while.
I was checking ebay and I found some obviously unathorized replicas of the Muppets.
I must say they are quite good. These were either done by a Henson intern or a real pro. But by checking the incredible perfection of his "Miss Piggy", I have to say he must've had the original puppets in his hands to do this.
They are pricey so don't go break your piggy bank.
