The Master and the Frog

The man with the beard
looking straight at Kermit the Frog.
Promising to do his best
to make the Muppets successful.

Doggoneit: there’s a tear
streaming down a cheek
from a Muppet fan that
once met Jim Henson.

Walking closer to see
the statue of the frog
Sitting at the edge
of the bench.

Look closer at Jim and Kermit
half-expecting to hear
Them talking

The truth is
that there is still some magic
Left behind even if
the master made our world
A better place

Though he left us too soon,
we thank him as part
Of the lovers, the dreamers,
and him.
