Hey everyone. I've taken a two year hiatus from this forum. Very busy with some other things in my life. I'm back now though! I really enjoy this site, it has really helped me with my muppet obsession. I hope some of you remember me from back in the day. Anyways, I do have a question for my fellow muppet lovers. As a few of you may know (Warrick!), I love muppets greatly, but in order to keep my house from bursting at the seams, I have started myself on an insane epic to collect one plush of each and every muppet character that exists. Of course I am limited to the ones that have actually been produced, but I may need some help from you guys. I am interested in any Jim Henson plushes, regardless of what show/movie it is from. I do not want duplicates of characters I already have. However, in some cases, I would like to upgrade my plush or puppet. For instance, I have the fisher price Rowlf puppet, but if I had the correct opportunity, I would upgrade him to the Ideal Rowlf puppet. Another example would be my Telly monster plush. The one I have is about 10" tall made by applause. However, I have seen one on ebay before that is bigger, and much cuter. I believe it is made by applause also, but I havent seen him lately. But, for the most part, I am happy with the ones I have and am just looking to fill in the blank spots. Ok, on to the list.

I'm a little unclear if you are wanting info about characters that might not be in your collection that you are unaware of, or if you are wanting people that have duplicates of items not in your collection which they have for sale.

I don't know what duplicates I have, but I do know some things that are not on your list (unless I just missed them) that I have or have seen.

Applause: Betty Lou Plush, Prarie Dawn Plush, The Count (he is great), Allistar Cookie, etc,

Tyco has a whole line for Plaza Sesamo out there as well.

Tyco of course had all the bean bag plush with obscure characters like Guy Smiley, Sherlock Hemlock, Benny Rabbit, and Mumford.

There was a whole set of Tale of the Bunny Picnic Rabbits that are very hard to find, but one of the best likenesses of Muppets I've ever seen.

Sababa is coming out with a set of Electric Mayhem bean bags (Floyd, Janice, Zoot, and Dr. Teeth)

McDonalds has done Sam the Eagle in their 25th anniversary Happy Meal set overseas (and he is pretty cool)

Their is a plush Slimey the Worm that came with a book to go along with the season of him being in space.

Japan has also issued some rare SS plush including Baby Bear, Mumford, Slimey, etc.

Igel has the German plush Sesame Street stuff as well (Samson is adorable)

Knickerbocker did a great Herry plush in the 70's as well.

That's everything I can think of off the top of my head. Hope this was of some help.

Ok, let me make myself a little clearer. I am not interested in beanies. I am not interested in any item except for plushes. I am not looking for anyone's suggestions on replacing certain members of my collection. What I am looking for is information regarding plush/dolls/puppets that I do not have in my collection. If the item was listed, I do not need that character again. I would like to find out more plush dolls or puppets that I need to be on the lookout for, besides the ones I have listed as having, or the ones I have listed as the ones I know I am missing. The bean bunny family puppets are one thing you are correct about, I forgot about that one in my original post. I would also be interested in the German Sesame street plushes. But, if the character is already listed as one I own, I do not need another, so thanks for listing those but I really just want to fill in the holes in my collection and find out exactly which ones have been made. Also, Slimey is one I would be interested in, as long as he is not a beanie.

Also, who is Allistar cookie? Not sure I know about him. I would be interested in these plushes I have listed if anyone has some they wouldn't mind parting with. Thanks!!

Allistar Cookie is Cookie Monster in his parady segments of Masterpiece Theater (dubbed Monsterpiece Theater for Sesame Street)

The only beans I listed are the Tyco beans. What is the difference between a Bean Bag plush and a normal plush. I don't quite understand why a Guy Smiley from Tyco wouldn't be welcome in your collection. Many stuffed animals are filled with beans of some sort.

Don't know quite what I was "correct" on or not, but its going to pretty hard to find a comprehensive listing of every plush that was out there.

You might have listed your collection in a little more organized order (perhapes by show) for people to easily find what you may or may not have.

ok, i will try to organize my list. shouldnt be too hard. I dont like beanies, i think they are a whole different avenue when it comes to collectibles. I dont need the guy smiley beanie....i have the vicma puppet which fits much better in a muppet puppet/plush collection.
Sure, a complete exhaustive list is far from easy, but not impossible. I would like to fill in the holes (I believe Im probably more than half way finished), and make the collection complete. Im sorry if my tone has come through wrong to you, I find it difficult sometimes to interpret people's mood when typing. Thanks again for adding the bean bunny family to my list of needs to complete a full collection of one plush for each character from Jim Henson.

Vintage Plush Oscar

Hi...I wasn't sure if you would be interested, but, I thought I'd offer. I have a the cutest vintage plush Oscar. He's about 7-8 inches. He's a bright fluffy furry green, w/bushy brown eyebrows, and large plastic eyes. He is dressed in a yellowish shirt with Oscar the Grouch in red felt letters. He is an original Knickerbacher/Seasame Street plush from the 80's. It never hurts to ask>>>Carina

Well there is also the Nanco rare Pepe plush that's very hard to find or unfindable I should say,and there will soon be plush of Link Hogthrob and Strangpork (along with first mate Piggy as well as a Vets H set)from Sababa.
