i may recast link hogthrob as sam because kermit just doesn't buy it for me...kermit is kind of wimpy in a way and link is more into himself like sam is.....but do you guys think i should keep kermit as sam or swith off and get link?

i still like beau as woody because they're both kind of slow, but fozzie would work too but i'll keep beau

and as for rowlf as acting like norm, i like that idea. i when i first thought about this, the first character i thought about placing as norm is rowlf...so that works out fine....

Byron, you have such a mighty point. Besides, its not like we haven't heard that Bostonian accent a hundred times before. As Ham the Piggy Bank in Toy Story 1 and 2, PT Flea in a Bug's Life, the Abominable Snowman in Monsters Inc., and whatever character he's gotten in the newest film, Finding Nemo. Lew would be such a good casting choice. I'd keep Rowlf as Norm cause the personalities just meld. Keep Bo as Woody too, can't go wrong with that one. Kermit should be kept as Sam Mallone, but only if you give him more of an interaction with Miss Piggy, both in her regular Miss Piggy demeanor and in her Rebeca Howe persona. You know, doleing out karate chops and mean bossy comments at any chick who threatens her hole over the Frog. If not, and you're going with more of an overall Muppets Cheers parody, then here's a few suggestions.
Link Hogthrob as Sam Mallone.
Janice as Rebeca Howe.
Grungetta as Carla Lembeck.
Sam the Eagle as Frazier Krane.
And maybe Miss Finch from Follow That Bird! as Lillith Krane.
Hope that helps.

So if you were indeed to make Muppets Cheers 2, what casting changes or additions, if any, would you make? Have our suggestions proven useful? If there's anything we can further assist you with in this developmental comedic parody, please let us here at the forums know. Hope this helps and hav3e a good day.

here is the new cast, if i decided to do another muppet/cheers thing:

kermit actng like sam
piggy acting like rebecca
rowlf acting like norm
beauregard acting like woody and a little bit of coach tied in(since i feel both characters from cheers have this dumb but lovable thing going for them)
lew acting like cliff
sam acting like frasier
grungetta acting like carla

*i'll try to get another one of these things going so no one try to do another one!!!* hehe..

I still say make beau Couch and put Fozzie as Woody..

BUT I HAVE A NEW SUGGESTION... how about rizzo as carla's sleazy ex-husband that always comes in

How about Praire in the Blonde, stuck up, sams ex role!

How about waldorf and statler as the 2 higly intoxicated guys passed out near the pool table:sleep: :boo:

So Kai proposes the following casting additions...
Rizzo the Rat as Carla Lembeck's sleazy ex-husband.
Prairie Dawn as Diane Chambers.
Statler and Waldorf as the highly intoxicated guys next to the pool table.

Well what's about these Cheers characters?
Lilleth Krane, still think Miss Finch would be a good choice.
Paul, the guy who started hanging out with Cliff and Norm towards the latter seasons of the show.
Gary, owner of Gary's Tavern, Cheers' crosstown rival.
The smarmy old gentleman who lived in the apartment above Cheers and imposed a sort of rent so that Cheers could continue operating.
Carla Lembeck's real husband the Hockey Player, Oscar The Grouch might be a good choice.
Woody Boyd's wife, maybe Annie Sue or some other main secondary female Muppet, maybe Mokey Fraggle?
Hope this helps, and if you need anything else let us know.

I think these would be better if reversed. Nick Tortelli (the sleazy ex-husband) would better be played by Oscar. And Eddie Lebeck (a loveable-loser type) would be better portrayed by Rizzo or maybe even Gonzo.

P.S. Does anyone remember the hockey mascot Eddie played after his playing days? Was it a duck? Remember he was tragically killed in an unfortunate Zamboni accident.
