okay, for the past few months i've started to watch the show cheers onn nick at night and i decided to do a little skit with some of the muppets playing themselves but acting as one of the characters out of cheers.

kermit acting like sam malone
miss piggy acting like rebecca howe
rowlf the dog acting like norm peterson
fozzie bear acting like cliff clavin
beauregard acting like woody boyd with a little coach pantusso thrown in
janice acting like carla lebec
*i don't have a character to act as frasier krane but oh well..

kermitreacting to a hot woman who just came into the bar: oh wow, take a look on the goods on her. hey, hey everybody, you think if i ask that woman out on a date she'll go out with me?
beau: her? oh ya, i bet you could have a good chance with her.
fozzie: oh ya. say that reminds of this one time i started to have this crazy theory of why women aren't attracted to me.
janice: oh ya that's simple, you're not good looking.
rowlf walks in
rowlf: afternoon everybody.
everyone: rowlf!!!
beau: what's biting you these days mr. dog?
rowlf: fleas and ticks, and lots of them too!
the phone rings and beau picks it up
beau: cheers, ya hold on. say is there a beauregard here?
kermit: that's you beau!
beauback to the phone: speaking!
piggy walks in from her office
kermit: oh hey piggy, you gotta second?
piggy: ya, kermit i know. i saw her when i was walking in here and you want to know if i think she would say yes if you asked her out.
kermit: wow, it's like you were reading my mind.
piggy: how can i when there's nothing there.
kermitto rowlf and fozzie: i don't know guys. i mean look at her. i mean i know i'm one great looking guy and all but...but, but..ok so i am one great looking guy and the chicks seem to dig me!
rowlf: you know i envy you kermit.
kermit: how is that rowlfie?
rowlf: you get to go out with any lady you want to and you're not tied down to a wife like me. and believe me, one look at my wife and you hope that you're not tied down.
beau: you know i believe there's someone out there for everyone. i always think about my future wife. ya she has brown hair, or maybe blond, i don't remember. and she has this cutest little smile you ever see which hides the fact that she has a big gap in her front two teeth. and she can sing really well, but not to well where she can when a singing contest. oh ya, and her name is linda, or is michelle. i think it could have been sarah, or even shelly. i think i need to dream about this girl a little more tonight and come back with better details tomorrow for you guys.
rowlf: uh, how about you just forget what you said and leave it like that beau.
beau: okay; either way works for me.
fozzie: you know i think there is someone out there for me too.
janice: ya if she was blind and didn't have to look at you then i'd agree with you.

okay so that was a little of what i thought up in a few minutes..so enjoy i think...

Lol, that was pretty funny, Ryan.

Hmmmmm...had ya thought o' castin' Red as Carla, though? Seems more natural to me.

Lilith is my favorite, but yeah, it'd be hard to find Muppets with personalities like hers and Frasiers. LOL!

Sam the eagle would be a good fraiser craine! Or even Bunson honeydew Also, i dont agree with some of your casting..

How about Fozzie or Beaker as woody,

Lew Zealand as Cliff

RED as Carla!

Crazy harry as...crazy harry....then he can blow up the bar!

last time i checked i don't think cliff had an accent with him so the lew zealand idea is gone....
beaker couldn't be anybody because he just says meep all the time...
beauregard is kind of slow on the brain like woody, so i think beau is a good choice

i was thinking about having sam as frasier.....

i have never heard of this red character that you and byron have said...

Ryan, maybe the reason you've never heard of this "Red" character is because she's not from The Muppet Show. Rather, she's from Fraggle Rock!
Thought Sam the Eagle was a nominal candidate to fill in the role of Frazier Krane myself as well, just so happens that Kai beat me to the punch. As for a female character that complains about everything or is sort of mean to everyone and laughs at her own meannes... how's about casting or re-casting Grungetta from Sesame Street as Carla?
Also, do you think that it would've been funnier if Piggy came in and after reading Kermit's mind, delivered one of her patented karate chops? Just throwing a few suggestions out there. Oh, and maybe Lew would be better for the role of Cliff as well. Cliff did have an accent, Bostonian as a matter of fact, but the two look amazingly alike.
And what's about Crazy Harry as the host of Harry's Tavern, Cheers's crosstown rival?
Hope this helps and have a good day.

That was good. I have to admit, I don't watch "Cheers," but I could see the Muppets doing that.

As a big fan of Cheers and of course, the Muppets, That's really good. I thinkk you did a good job of casting. And Sam would be great as Frazier.

oh i see who red is now, thanks kye...

hey i forgot about grungetta..actually shw would probably work as carla...i only thought of janice because i couldn't think of any female muppets..man i wish i could see red and her personality. but then again i haven't seen fraggle rock in 15 years or so..

thanks for the suggestions everyone. this was only something i've been thinking about for a few weeks...hey if they ever have the new muppet show come on this skit would work. heck it would work on snl and they need all the good skits they can get. but that's another story...

by the way, i can draw really good pictures of the muppets and drawing them in the role of the cheers characters is a piece of cake!

if i do do another thing with the muppets as the cheers gang, i'll add sam and grungetta and lew in there since everyone seems to think lew would be a better cliff......
