lol those ghost buster guys don't can't spell any of the characters names

Anyway here's my list:

Ray- I'm thinking Fozzie because Ray is really just a big kid like Fozzie

Winston- Gonzo. Let's bring back the whole core cast to do some ghost busting

Peter- Rowlf because Peter is a wise ***** and so is Rowlf.

Egon- Kermit. Alot of people said Bunsen, but I don't think so. Egon was a doctor but they all were. I think Kermit fits better especially with my pick for Janine.

Janine- Piggy. She would pursue Kermit and he wouldn't return her love openly just like Egon and Janine

Slimer- Animal. Need I say more?

Lewis Tully- Scooter. This character is so Scooter! lol

Maybe there can be a whole ghost version of the electric mayhem that plays a new version of the ghostbusters theme. That would be pretty cool.

Anyway, I think if the muppets wanted to do a paraody of ghostbusters as a TV special or maybe as a direct to video release, this should be the cast. Of course there would be other like Pepe and Rizzo but this was my list for the core of the cast. Janice could be Dana and maybe persue Floyd's ghost or something lol

i don't think gonzo would be good to play winston zeddemore..winston is a no nonsense kind of guy who takes his job seriously. besides thats how harold ramis and ivan reitman described him in the ghostbusters dvd!

Yeah but I wasn't recasting the exact parts as much as I was saying who would be the best ghost busters. I used the names only because it's easier than GB 1 GB 2 etc. Tell me you wouldn't laugh at Gonzo with a proton pack on

oh sorry!!!!!!! i think for kicks gonzo would point the proton gun at him and try to shoot himself to see what would happen, or trap himself for that matter..or even try to get inside of the containment unit where all the ghosts go after the ghostbusters put them there...

There was a fantastic parody on Muppet Babies called "Bug Busters", perhaps one of my favorite episode of Muppet Babies ever.

I'm a member of that site also.

If I had the characters playing roles, it would be kind of what others have said, but slightly different. So, I would base this on who I think they could PERFORM better and who suits which role best, rather than basing it on their own personality. Also, guest stars. Remember, Kermit and Piggy are being other characters, and if that were so, I'd have Kermit chasing Piggy in a different direction:

Ray-Fozzie
Peter-Kermit
Egon-Bunsen
Winston-Gonzo
Janine-Janice
Louis Tulley-Scooter
Dana-Miss Piggy
Walter Peck-Uncle Deadly
Mayor-Dan Aykroyd (hey, I figure he deserves SOME role in this since he created it!)
Slimer-Animal
Gozer-Jovana Slovitz (again).
