Muppet Freak, the Muppet/Henson-focused blog about fandom will be coming out of hibernation very shortly with a new miniseries of articles called "Good Business/Bad Business" taking an indepth look at both the extraordinary and the ugliest business practices concerning the companies entrusted with the legacies of Jim Henson's creations - and we need YOUR help!

At the conclusion of each article, we'll be presenting the subject of each entry with a symbolic award - and we're putting out a call to all obsessed Muppet Freaks to help us come up with a good name!

The company spotlighted in our "Good Business" entry will be named the recipient of the "Zelda" Rose (in honor of the obscure Muppet Show character). But we're stuck on a good name for its companion award to be given to the "Bad Businesses". We need a Muppety title for the "honor" given to companies engaging in business practices anathema to the spirit and philosophies of Jim Henson and the Muppets. What should we call the award given to someone doing things so greedy and evil, they'd make Ebenezer Scrooge look like a saint or cause Jim Henson to toss his cookies? The honor should have a humorous Muppety name, ideally a play on words of the name of a Muppet character or trademark (similar to "Zelda" Rose) If you can come up with the winning name, we'll not only use it but give you a special "Freakier than Me" Special Thanks on the site.

Entries can be either emailed to dw_m@webtv.net , private messaged to dwmckim on this forum or posted in this thread. Emails should contain the word Muppet in the subject heading to insure that they're not mistaken for spam and deleted unread. Muppet fans are encouraged to submit their ideas as quickly as possible since we want to get these up by next weekend (Aug 10/11)

And of course check out Muppet Freak at muppetfreak.blogspot.com in August to discover the recipients of our "Good Business/Bad Business Awards" as well as other indepth essays and features on the world of Muppet/Henson (and other) fandoms ranging from the silly to the scholarly to the serious.

P.S. Muppet Freak could also use the help of those with a full collection of Muppet Magazines for help tracking down a photo from them. If you can assist in this, please contact d.w. via the same contact info provided above.
