You know, edited with a hatchet or not, some people would prefer a nice, clean, official copy of the special than a fan made bootleg, or even just watching it on Youtube. When and if Disney chooses to release this special (I don't believe they won't have to haggle at all... but so far, SW and MS have had a good relationship with each other anyway) , and if anyway possible they can negotiate the rights to the music (something that they've been good with since season 2) then we can drop the DVD's, ones that go for well over hundreds of dollars on E-Bay.

I'd also prefer to see the complete version back on TV somewhere, anywhere. It and the other classic Muppet holiday specials would be the ideal addition to ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas if things could be ironed out for broadcast; if the Walt Disney Company brass could also be swayed by the clearly overwhelming request by the American public to return their classic material to the air as well and create, for lack of a more specific term at the the moment, a Classic Disney Channel, using the same material and the like from the glory days of the Original and Best Disney Channel--which of course included many Sesame Street specials--that would also be a perfect broadcast locale for it.
