*Sneakily leaves a glammed out version of Dr. Teeth's hat in a wrapped hatbox for Ailie, a birthday card signed by all of us fiends downstairs, and an adjustable pair of cymbals to attach to her drumkit. Enjoy your day Ailie.

(gang's gearing up to watch VP debates)

Beige: How's that popcorn coming along?
Scooter: It needs a few more seconds...okay, the pops are slowing down.
Storyteller: Honestly, I don't see why you silly creatures go through this every four years.
Erin: Are you kidding - we go through this more like every two or three years.
Nora: At least, the American silly creatures do. Other silly creatures operate on different timetables.
Scooter: (entering with popcorn) But the sentiment's the same - lots of yelling and screaming.
Storyteller: Mmm...all right, but please, no throwing popcorn at the television, please.
Erin: (picking up remote) That's nothing; some people I know are sitting down with bowls of rotten tomatoes.
Beige: Urgh...you know, whenever we chose new security Fraggles, we'd...
Nora: Okay, it's starting.

Ryan: *blink* ...What are you talking about?
Pepe: *stares* ...Jou didn't mean--Erm... never mind!
Ryan: ...What do YOU think TGIF stands for? !
Pepe: *clears throat* *looks around nervously* D'at girl es fine, hokay.
Ryan: *headslap* WHAT girl?
Pepe: I don't know! Jou tell me! Jou said it!
Ryan: *shakes head* Good grief. Thank goodness it's Friday.
Pepe: Si, si. I'm surprised jou didn't mention d'at earlier.
Ryan: *rolls eyes*

Yeah... Guess Crazy Harry still likes to play with electricity. Maybe I should consider recasting some of the Muppet roomies around here for my counting castle's cast. Then again, Harry as the zombie, Newsie as Renfield, and Lefty as an imp do sound almost as solid locks.
*Meanwhile, Count is singing a little of Count Up to 9 while watching the playoff baseball games. :batty:

*Leaves a glass of milk and a Garfield plush for Kathy at Room #6. It's just like my Garfield bank, he's holding Pooky in his arms close to him. Thought Kathy would need something to get her spirits back up, sort of like Sara and her Scooter plushy.
UD: *Placing a clawed paw on my shoulder, that's a nice gesture... Do you think...
What do you...
UD holds up a small plastic lit candle.
UD: To light her way in the darkness.
Count: And a bat dangle with ribbon around the neck from me.

She'll love this guys. *Places everything on the little stand next to Room #6's entry for the girls to find and bring it in for Kathy.
*Soft huge huggles.

*Muppet ghost glides through. Why's he in such a hurry? He's got a ghost-to-ghost flight!
UD: How frightfully random. *Goes back to his current scheming.

(Storyteller is doing a crossword puzzle, while the others are doing assorted things.)

Storyteller: Let's see. Seven down, five letters, U.S. senator from the Keystone State.
Erin: Casey. As in Robert P., Jr. The other one is Specter.
Storyteller: Thank you...um, four across, six letters, location of a stately pleasure dome.
Nora: Xanadu.
Beige: Xana-what?
Nora: Xanadu, it's part of a poem. "In Xanadu did Kubla Khan a stately pleasure dome decree..."
Scooter: Wasn't that also the name of Kane's house in "Citizen Kane?"
Storyteller: Speaking of which...eleven across, seven letters, a famous sled. (looks at others) All together now...
All: Rosebud.
Storyteller: Well done...all right, thirty-two down...the emblem of the Fraggle Cave security squads.
Beige: (standing up and thumping his chest) The dustrag.
Storyteller: That figures...mmm, forty across, six letters, carries sugars down to rest of the plant.
Scooter: Wait, wait, I know this one...it's phloem.
Erin: Yeah, and xylem carries water up from the roots.
Storyteller: Very good, thank you. Now, sixty down, four letters...costume seen in Degas paintings, also what the Newsman is wearing at the moment.

(all turn to look, and quickly turn back)

Storyteller: Tutu.

Ah... Finally fed on empanadillas and breadfruit tostones with sweet/spicy ginger chili from House of the Dim Sum. Now if I could get the 17 Haunter finished by Tuesday...
UD: Any help?
Well... Was thinking of Robin as the leprechaun. Even examined my figure to get a better notion of the little guy.
*Points at the figure display cabinet doors, the group of Sesame figures with Frog Scouts and Uncle D, now with Robin up in his left arm.

UD: Ah, I see.
But when I thought of the grouping... Shriekcy, the blue-skinned secretary seen in the movie version of Beetlejuice (Muppetized), Nero the Demon, Alice in Underland, and Countess Dahling with her pet dog... Well, I sort of think maybe the leprechaun could fit in with them, or maybe not, or perhaps I could revisit that dragon from the Kingdom of Fred.
UD: The one with the number 17?
Yes... Wasn't happy with the first attempt of my descript, it ended up like a dragon should but looking too kangarooish.
UD: So change him to a golden dragon.
Would that work? Pervaying the sense of darkness or monsterdom?
UD: Well, you could go the route of darker golden tones... Golden-browns and all that.
True, but how to avoid him ending up kangarooish again, considering that this was one of David Rudman's characters. And since it's from after my sighted grace period I don't know what he looks like from his appearance on Sesame.

UD: Hmm, this could take some brainstorming.
Yes, maybe my forum friends can come through and we'll hopefully have things ready by Tuesday.

(The conversation above has taken place while the Count is in the common room watching the playoff games, this is all being kept secret from him for the time being.)
