Muppet Central Radio: October Support Month

We need your help to continue broadcasting Muppet Central Radio on Radionomy.

As many of you are aware, due to Live365's closure we moved Muppet Central Radio. Radionomy is a great platform for us due to higher audio fidelity and unlimited listeners (there are no more "station is full" messages). However, periodically Radionomy evaluates each of their stations individually to determine whether or not they continue broadcasting on their service.

One of the benchmarks they use is the number of listener hours for the past 30 days. We are currently under their minimum to stay on the air long-term. At the end of October, Radionomy will be evaluating our station. If we do not meet their requirements for "premium status" then the station will go off the air. This evaluation currently occurs every three months. This is where we need your help.

We need you to listen regularly and often to Muppet Central Radio, especially for the rest of the month of October. You can listen online on our Radionomy station page, with a Radionomy app and via Roku, iTunes and Apple TV.

Due to obvious circumstances, I won't be able to listen in to MCR like I was able to all day long especialy for this specific drive month of October 2017.

Hopefully MCR will weather the storm and we can get this year's Christmas musicthon.

Live365 actually reopened, but understandable if you want to stay on Radionomy.

Yes, EmpireStreaming purchased the Live365 name in July 2016 in bankruptcy court and in March 2017 reopened the service. However, it's much more expensive than previously and paying for royalties outside of the US is in addition to their normal fees.

That's why it's so critical that everyone listens to Muppet Central Radio as much as possible when we have these support months. It keeps the station on the air to the widest audience possible.

Ed, we totally understand. We're so thankful that you're all right. We pray that your family and everyone you hold dear are safe in Puerto Rico. We know that it will take time to recover in the weeks and months ahead.

Yes, we're looking forward to the Christmas music. If we have a successful October support month, then the non-stop Christmas music will begin on November 24, the Friday after Thanksgiving.

We have to increase our total average number of listening hours from the past 30 days in order to stay on the air. The more people that listen for long periods of time this week, the higher this number will rise. Every hour and every listener counts.
