I've just find out that for the official Series 10 line-up, Scoutmaster Kermit and Pirate Gonzo and Rizzo took place of Dr. Bob from Vet's Hospital and the first Muppet Babies figures Baby Kermit and Baby Piggy, and the backstage playset is officially part of Series 10, but they can't put two different Rowlf's in one series! :sympathy:

Next year, I think Series 10 is the final series, and we'll never see figures of Muppet Babies and Vet's Hospital from Palisades

Yeah it's old news. I wasn't around at the time this happened so not sure whether they are cancelled or just delayed. If the sales pick up hopefully there will be more figures after S10.

Guys, don't be such alarmists. Just have some faith in the line. Ken has continually said that if the public keeps buying the figures/products, the company will keep making them; so keep buying them.
As for the Backstage playset, it's not officially part of S10, it'll be on shelf shortly after S9. That's why Dr. Bob had to be taken out of the S10 lineup.
As for the Muppet Babies figures, the sculpts weren't finished in time to include them as part of the S10 product binder that Ken submits to the factory, but they have been sculpted and might be released in 2005.
So Pirate Gonzo and Rizzo which were already sculpted but dropped from S9 to make room for the Swedish Chef 2 slide into the S10 lineup.
S10: Pirate Gonzo & Rizzo, Uncle Deadly, Sal Manilla and Buddies.
What happened next is that due to Target dropping the line, Palisades needed a home for Scoutmaster Kermit. And since there's the fourth space open in S10...
S10: Pirate Gonzo & Rizzo, Scoutmaster Kermit, Uncle Deadly, Sal Manilla & Buddies.
Now I know what matleo goes through when recreating a rumors thread.

Just have faith and keep buying the figures, the license's good till 2005 so the line will live on at least that long.
Hope this helps and have a good weekend.

Huh... I'm disappointed by this, but I hope that the figures do make it into the world at some point. I was looking forward to making them sing and dance and say "mama, dada, boop-boop, she-wa-wa!"

It would be a shame if the line ends at series 10 and leaving many characters out. It would be great if they continue, they are great figures.

I would have imagined muppet babies figures to sell quite well even to non muppet fans.

If the line does stop, is it possible for it to continue a few years down the track?
I wouldnt be as upset if we knew the figures were coming back at somestage.

I don't think Palisades would renew the license even later seeing as they have pretty much done it all with the Muppets but you never know if Disney will put out action figures in the future. They probably wouldn't be as good, but still ...

Count is right, the more you keep buying the figures the more chance there is for the line to continue after series 10. Although even if they do decide to end the retail line at series 10 they still have the license into 2005 so they would still be able to release already sculpted things and repaints through Palisades Direct and the Collectors Club and all hope would still not be lost for things like Muppet Babies, Tutu Pepe, Repainted EM Band etc. I imagine if they paid for that final year of the license they would want to make their money back in some way at least.

Lucky Palisades. :halo:

Uh...

Oh yeah, besides everything that The Count and Luke said, all of which is 100% right on, Ken said that the sculpts for Baby Kermit and Baby Piggy are completely uh..."kick-butt." So I'm sure we'll see them in some form...whether as part of the regular line (I hope), an exclusive, or from Palisades Direct.

Hopefully the people who say they'll buy the toys actually will buy the toys, and we'll see a healthier line that continues through 2005. In that case, I'd expect to see all six Muppet Babies.
