MTR Screenings-Celebrating 50 Years

Hey folks,
Don't tell anyone at that OTHER major Muppet fansite, but there are apparently some screenings planned at the Museum of Television & Radio to celebrate 50 years of Muppetty goodness. Brian and Lisa will even be there at the California one. Here's what was in an e-mail I got:

The other major fansite in question "Tough Pigs" already has had this information posted a few days ago anyway.

MellissaY had posted this info almost a month ago with the anticipation it would be held at the NYC location, but recently we learned it's (at the moment) only in LA.

Actually no it's not only in CA. They're having events simultaneously both in NY and L.A. on the same day. The NY events will have Cheryl Henson signing copies of her book "It's Not Easy Being Green..." and from what the folks at the museum told me when I called up for more info (finally yes I called) it sounds like Tyler Bunch from Bear in the BBH is going to be doing a puppetry demonstration that you MUST make reservations for at 2 p.m. All the other events are open to everyone but the demonstration requires reservations. Also there will be various screenings, walkaround characters for the kids, etc.
Just wanted to clear up the confusion that this event was only taking place in L.A. It's not, it will be both there AND in NYC!

Oh and in addition to my other post, there IS information available now at the museum's website for both the NYC and LA events...Pop on over to www.mtr.org and on the upper right hand side, there's a link and it gives a description for both the L.A. and NY events depending on which link you click. However, it's in PDF format, so unless you have Adobe Acrobat you won't be able to read it I don't think...

I was just sorta joking around, but I have had my run-ins with the webmaster, and would rather not cross paths at a Muppet event, again. I figured they'd have known about something like this, obviously.

Is this planned for any other cities like Chicago?

I don't believe so because the Museum of T.V. and Radio only has branches in NYC and L.A. However, perhaps some of the local Chicago museums are doing their own events in the upcoming months??
