I've noticed a lot of the monsters took on a different look on SS than when they made their debut on Ed Sullivan, darker in color and more scary looking!!

Grover WAS green, but on SS he was brownish-black color, or maybe it was just dark green.

The tall green one looked almost gray-ish. Still had no arms, and the eyes were different.

Beautiful Day had bigger bushier eyebrows and showed more teeth than the skit on Ed's show.

I seem to recall that they were all yawning, or making some kind of tired noises when the sketch began. (Coulda actually sworn I heard the word "cookie" among the noises, but that may have just been an association with the voices.)

The muppet monster on the far left started the "C" sequence, ending with the monster on the right -- I think it was that little purple fella. The letter "C" was sitting on the wall if I remember correctly, and was smaller than the letter in the similar "A" skit.
