MirrorMask R1 DVD Release: 7th Feb. '06

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced MirrorMask which stars Jason Barry, Rob Brydon and Stephanie Leonidas. The film tells the story of Helena, who works for the family circus, and wishes-quite ironically-that she could run away and join real life. But such is not to be the case, as she finds herself on a journey into the Dark Lands, a strange landscape filled with giants, Monkeybirds and dangerous sphinxes. The disc will be available to own from the 7th February, priced at around $26.96. The film itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with English, Portuguese and Thai Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks. Extras will include a commentary with the director/writer, a Neil Gaiman featurette, another feature in which Dave McKean talks about the film, and six more featurettes (Beginnings, Cast and Crew, Day 16, Flight of the Monkeybirds, the Giants Development, and Questions and Answers).
