I read recently that the mini muppets wave 3 are now to be sold exclusively on palisadesdirect.com site? Anyone know when these go on sale on that site?

They're going to be released one per month, starting in...July or August, I believe. That was the last I heard about it.

And, if I'm correct, CC members don't have to pay shipping, right?

Uh...I don't remember. I'm independently wealthy, money is no object to me.

*wakes up*

wow, that is pretty retarded. Bravo Palisades on such a lame move...
I hope they change their minds, as what is the point of that?

I'm glad they're doing it. Sales weren't so hot in retail, and they had the option of selling it directly from their site or not at all, and I want Mini Muppets, so this was a way to save the line and keep me appeased!

Otherwise, there won't be any more Mini Muppets.

Oh and thanks for saying that word. I wish it was in the swear filter. :grouchy:

Seriosly, think about it. My Suncoast had the SAME stock of minis for 5 months until they marked them down...and they STILL didn't sell! Media Play had stacks of unsold Xmas boxes that will probably never be sold. The Muppet market isn't anywhere as large as something like Star Wars or other lines that appeal to adults and children so ultimately those things will :rarely: become shelf-warmers like so many unfortunate Muppet products do (the ONLY Muppet merch that I've seen sell out quickly without markdown were the Fraggle plush and car air fresheners). Why would a company want to spend all the money producing and shipping a product if it isn't going to sell well? Mini figures are hard to sell anyway, and not just because of their high price. I held off because paying $15 for three little figures is quite a bit. They are superb quality, but they still are high-priced, and the casual fan isn't going to say "hey, look at that $5 minifig" when they could get a great normal-scale figure for a few dollars more.

Hmmm, having them be website exclusive may change my idea about getting them. I mean, I do need another 6 to put up on top of my VCR (the Christmas ones are looking a little out of place for obvious reasons  :stick_out_tongue: ) and aren't they coming out with two sets later on with the Electric Mayhem and Rowlf in them?

That depends entirely on the sales for these next ones...and I wouldn't consider them "sets" anymore, but individual releases.

We'll see--I'd love to have another Electric Mayhem set.

:halo:
