I was just watching MFC, and noticed a technicality in the script: When Statler & Waldorf first appear, Fozzie's mom mentions that they're old friends of hers & visit her every Christmas.
But she was going "away" for Christmas and Doc & Sprocket were gonna house-sit.
Of course, there are different possibilities for this, such as S & W not planning to visit and, after finding out she was staying, Ms. Bear calling them at the last minute.
Anybody have any ideas?

Maybe Statler and Waldorf are the kind of old friends who you genuinely like, but wouldn't be able to stand spending a week with, so you TELL them to come visit you when you KNOW you're going to be away....

Or maybe she had a bit too much of the honey, and was just talking out her wig again.
