Memory Wire

I am making some three dimensional props. I had the idea of using the wire that is in sunshades for your car and in collapsible laundry baskets as the frame. That way I could collapse the whole prop for storage and transportation. The only problem is that I don’t know where to look for the wire. I could use the wire from a sunshade, but the prop I’m making is going to be bigger that that.
Does anybody out there know where I could find the wire?

Thanks Buck. I’ve looked at the memory wire I get on a Google search. It’s not the same type of wire. The memory wire that comes up is for making jewelry and quite expensive.
I probably do not have the right name for the wire. It holds its shape well and can be folded up into a smaller coil like in the sunshade and collapsible laundry baskets.

Ah. There's a variety of web sites that provide sources for industrial materials, which might be the best way to track this stuff down. Unfortunately I can't recall any of the URLs right now. :frown:
