Anyone remember this? It was one of those vintage SS cartoon shorts about Melvin The Moving Man...obviously all about the letter M. I forgot how it all went, but the funniest part of it was where the narrator said of Melvin "his moustache is made of macaroni"! Anyone remember the rest?

I remember this one. Melvin the Moving Man had Mounds of Muscles, along with his Macaroni Moustache. Monday Morning, Melvin Moved a Moose, a Mule, and a Mound of Marbles. My My! Aren't Melvin's Muscles Magnificent!

And the Music courtesy of a little synthesizer called the Moog.

If you want to see Melvin the Moving Man on TV, it's on the

1971 premiere episode.

I remember seeing it and thinking:

"Man, this thing is SO dated! Look how 1970's this thing is!"

I guarantee you it's on that episode. That episode is sponsored by the letter M, and it also contains Maria's first appearance "M..Maria" and 1971 Grover getting his mouth stuck shut by.......Anyone remember? (Hee hee!!!)

Boy, do I ever! Herbert Birdsfoot had a little "m" poem, and Grover was able to very conveniently help him out. But our blue friend was so frustrated by having his mouth stuck shut with peanut butter. Herbie was able to get Grover's mouth un-stuck, but as soon as Herbie left, Grover's mouth got stuck again. Man, did I hate to see him suffer like that. Too bad nobody had a glass of milk to give him.

So what if it's dated?

MIke,

Did I say that just because it looks dated that it detracts the cartoon from its quality?

I could say that the Baker number skits look dated too, but it doesn't mean I don't LIKE them .

Mike, you tend to take things waaaay out of proportion.
