I just completed work on a website re-haul for Monskey.us. Come check it out! Tell me what you think. This is the result of many long hours of work.

Just what is a Monskey? Well, these little suckers are vinyl toys (with linking chains) in the same tradition of Munnys, Mighty Muggs and Vinylmation Mickeys. Each individual pattern is designed by one of many artists from around the world. There’s even a template to download to create your own pattern!

Bigatron wanted something interactive in Flash like what I did for Muppet Central several years ago. These colorful Monskeys lend themselves to my brand of Flash-hybrid artistry and animation. It was my mission to create a space that users would want to come back and visit; where each experience could be unique. They also wanted to keep much of their original programmer’s brilliantly designed easy click cart code from before. In a very Monskey-like spirit, he came to our aid in this project and helped us out a lot. We intend the world of the Monskeys’ website to grow over the months and years to come.

I partnered up in this project with longtime friend, neighbor and fellow artist Sean “pxlforge” Brennan. We both worked freelance for Palisades Toys some years back. While I was working away on brands like the Muppets and Ren & Stimpy, Sean was creating the company’s signature PALZ line for Buffy and the X-Files. Our styles are both heavily stamped into the new Monskey.us site. Can you spot some Muppet Central-isms?

The menu should seem a little familiar, yet still distinct to Monskey with other goings on in the skyline and on the splash page. There are several layers that I hope will provide you with a fun web experience. These guys are locally launched, but are worldwide. Monskey.com houses all of the sites, but I still think the US one kicks Monskey butt!

Feel free to leave questions, comments on your journey to Monskey.us.

So come and Meet the Monskeys!

(We're still in beta testing so please bear with us.)

...and very soon Monskey.us will be carrying another popular little product line. Cutting the gallery for it next week. I'll keep you updated.

So far the new Monskey.us is doing great. They even placed it over Monskey.com! I'm very happy that my client is pleased. We went from a sub-site to the flagship site overnight.

It has brightened a spotty week for me. :busy:
