Please, oh please, if you have notions of writing a book, make sure that your spelling and grammar are correct. A casual look at the above post reveals at least 9 spelling errors and 21 grammatical errors.

If you want a book to be taken seriously, these are important issues.

I do not mean for this to be taken as a slam of any kind, but it is an extremely important issue, particularly in regards to professionalism.

Best of luck!

Take it from me, writing a book is a challenging task (even for those whom spelling is a gift). I am (hopefully) in my final revision of a project I started in November of last year. I had my completed manuscript edited then checked for content. It was noted that I omitted certain aspects that may be useful to the end user.

I am about to complete the revisions and have the manuscript examined again.

I say this not to discourage you, but to prepare you. The more knowledge you have on a subject, the easier the task. You have set an ambitious goal. Best of luck to you.

Hey, Puppetise!
What a good idea, I think it is a really good idea, it would save us asking the same questions on this forum all the time, if there was a central resource. Do you want us all to contribute? Don't worry about the Grammar and Spelling too much, save that for when you get a book published! By the way, I think you are to be admired for your inventiveness, enterprise and enthusiasm, and just 15!! You lucky turtle you!!

I'm in the same process myself to get a book about the basics of puppetry written. There'll be a few people who will get preview copies of it to verify information, add to it, or take away from it when it's completed in, oh, like--2009.
