I'm sorry, but I have no interest in YouTube. Besides toutube + dial up = frozen computer OR 2 hours of loading for a 30 second clip.

The only time I ever go on youtube is when I have access to a high speed internet and watch music videos from my favorite bands
Dial up? I can't do dial up. I need things fast and as soon as pronto!

But I like youtube for watching music videos too. Like ABC and their song called "Poison Arrow".

Dial up really isnt as slow as everyone thinks as long as you have a good computer. You just cant expaect to watch any videos

for te most part, MC loads almost instantly for me. No more than a 3 second wait for the poages to load usually

Oh puh-lease! Five to ten minutes for ONE page to load? THAT isn't slow?

I find it hard to believe that MC would load instantly on dial-up, considering the animated menu, and several other high-quality graphics it has. :smirk:

It actually loads instantaneously for me, too... another dial-up user! Don't ask me how, lol. But it really does.

As Sarge said, really dial-up just makes it very hard to watch videos... impossible to watch real long videos. But that still doesn't stop me sometimes, hehe.

Now any internet service you get from a cable company is almost as bad as dial-up!

First of all, when you have their connection, you actually have to SHARE it with other people in the general service area, and when that happens, the connection get slower the more people are online at the same time; two years ago at Christmastime, I could NOT get online because everybody was apparently doing last-minute online Christmas shopping or something! It was SLOWER than dial-up then!

And not only that, their service actually IS corrupted! Whenever I use Comcast for internet service (sometimes I HAVE to), my Internet Explorer is closed automatically quite often. That NEVER happens whenever I have DSL (which I HIGHLY recommend), or even complimentary hi-speed internet I get in hotel rooms!

Lastly, whenever you get internet from the cable company, when they cut your cable off, they cut your internet off as well; now with DSL, when they cut your phone off, they at least leave your internet alone!

Here DSL link is much much slower (we are lucky to even be able to have cell phones work here) than Cable, and I've never had any troubles with cable .
