Maybe we should start a petition to see more of the muppets that sorta of faded out..

Many of them have been:

Statler - Jerry Nelson
Waldorf - Dave Goelz
Janice - Brian Henson (finally!)
Dr Teeth - Bill Baretta (I think)
Rowlf - Bill Baretta

Statler and Waldorf never went away, but I agree, it would be great to see - and hear - more of some of the others!

dr. teeth is now performed by john kennedy..although he hasn't done anything with the character...better talk to the writers about that

Thanks for the correction! I vaguely recalled reading somewhere that Bill did the 'Shalom' line in MFS, and of course the character was barely visible in VMC so I hadn't realised he'd been handed on

I've read it was Bill who performed Dr. Teeth in MFS at imdb.com, but most other sources say it was John. Yeah, Waldorf and Statler are still around but not as often as they used to be. To be honest I never cared much for Jerry's Statler. I thought the character sounded better when Richard did the voice. Someone mentioned that he was probably performed by Steve Whitemire in the Weezer video. I just thought I'd bring that up.

Your enthusiasm is great, and folks at Henson are aware of fans' desire to see more of their favorite characters. So a petition won't do much to change the facts, which are: whatever characters they can squeeze into each new project, they do. (The Snoop Dogg scene did include some nice Electric Mayhem dialogue, which unfortunately had to be cut.)

Just cross your fingers for that new TV show this year. Hopefully you'll see a bunch more.

ps. There's a "recast" list over at Tough Pigs which I can recommend as pretty dead-on accurate.

No, Jerry`s Statler is to different compared to Richards. Goelz` Waldorf is excellent!

The funny thing is, when I watched IAVMMCM, the 'replacement' voices that jarred were Statler and Waldorf's! I think it's probably 'cos I've been mainlining season 1 TMS for the last six months and got used to their original voices...
