You get to see the B-52's???!!! I go to this dance every year put on my youth group, and we always, ALWAYS do Love Shack....I'm a BAD dancer, but, hey, it's all being goofy & spaztic & having fun! I've always had fond B-52 memories....So, print us a report Matt, after you see the show!!! Might help soothe my seething jealousy! :wink:

B-52's rule, they have the great hits like Love Shack, Rock Lobster, just a great sound that no one even come close to duplicating.

Hey Matt,

Just wanted to let you know that I too will be rocking the shack. The B-52s will be in Memphis for our big Memphis in May Music Fest, along with a ton of other bands. I cannot wait!

cant say i'm a fan..but doesnt "Private Idaho" sound like Beaker's singing it? i heard that song played in the Wedding Singer, beaker was the first thing that came 2 mind

And I guess it sounds like Beaker for a second in the beginning when Fred is making those weird sounds. Other than that, I'd say it sounds pretty similar to the B-52's. :smile:

I saw them give a free concert in SF when they had a gay pride festival. Good times - despite the swarms of people.

Many people attend gay pride festivals regardless of their orientation.

There is indeed nothing wrong with being open minded to all people.

i am really opened minded myself. i do believe in the whole 'gay rights' thing....ive never really thought of going 2 a gay club tho
