It came out this past Tuesday, and it is right now the hottest game on shelves. Unfortunately, it hasn't reached any of the shelves in my hometown yet, and it looks like I'll have to wait a month 'til I play it.:frown:

But who has played it? And which platform did you play it for?

Most say that the Xbox 360 version is the best (mostly because it's one of those next-gen systems, and the only one that's recently out). I'm hoping to play it on that platform, now that I have my own 360, which I got just last week for only sixteen bucks.

For those who have played it, any tips you want to give out to us beginners? Looking at some of the gameplay vids on Gamespot and IGN, it looks like a tough game to get through.

Got the opportunity to play the game over the weekend, and I finished it just today! Yay, me!!

For those who are MARVEL fans, get this game! It has almost EVERY character from the universe in it (The Hulk and Punisher are missing, because they are owned by other game publishers--however, there is a reference to the Green Behemoth in one cut-scene in the game). And Dr. Doom is a very tough guy to fight--I barely got beatened by him, when I was playing JUST as Spider-Man (with no help from Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man--who were all beaten by Doom).

If you're not a big fan of Marvel Comics, still check out this game! It's got some fun gameplay and you get to unlock all sorts of stuff! It's...as Ms. Marvel and myself would say....MARVELOUS!!!

This weekend I was at Blockbuster holding Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Justice League and Family Guy, and I rented Family Guy... wrong choice. So next weekend I'll rent Marvel Ultimate Alliance for PS2.

I wouldn't say FG was a wrong choice, Vic. I played that last weekend, and it was hilarious.

I'd get MUA on Xbox 360; you get those MARVELOUS next-gen graphics on that platform. The in-game movies with the "Final Fantasy"-type animation are the big thrill; they're so realistic. You'll still get them on the PS2, since they're crucial to the main storyline of the game.

I would suggest this: don't worry about completing ALL the side objectives to the missions. Uatu (a.k.a. "The Watcher") will grill you on them later in the game, but the real fun part is seeing the consequences to your actions or inactions.

Also...

Don't underestimate the power of Dr. Doom! Make sure you have some powerful, hard-hitting heroes in your team when you get to confronting him, because he's going to throw some stuff at you that'll take you all down instantly if you're not careful.

I went back to Blockbuster the other day to rent Ultimate Alliance but ended up taking out Bully instead (which I think is one of the greatest games to come out in awhile!!!) but I just got my January 2007 issue of Wizard which gave Ultimate Alliance the cover and gave them a six page spread! Now I'm definitely gonna' have to check it out!
