Manipulation Technique?

Was the Henson technique for puppet manipulation ever documented? I know Henson taught everyone he worked with certain rules on manipulation of puppets. Were there any books written on hand puppet manipulation by Henson or anyone else in general?

I know that Carroll Spinney mention a littile bit, in his book how Jim taught him how to use muppet puppet the book is called the Wisdom of big bird and the dark genius of Oscar the Grouch, it's a great book
