Simpsons aren't what they used to be, but then any show that's been on for so long is bound to lose some of its edge or what used to make it funny. You can list scores of shows that have gone through this. Even SS!!
Simpsons has its moments but now I watch Family Guy far more regularly. And that too will one day run its course...
Shame cuz the Simpsons was my absolute favourite for a long time. WHen Conan O'Brien wrote for them...oh, that was some good stuff.

What I like about the Simpsons (still) is that even after seeing every episode numerous times, there is always some nugget, some precious gem that I either didn't pick up on the first seventeen times I saw it or is a familiar as an old sock but still makes me laugh somewhere deep in my soul where only the funniest of the funny can stir.

Every episode has at least one.

To this day, Homer falling down Springfield Gorge after his skateboarding went awry makes me laugh out loud.

Also love...was it Patty or Selma...uh oh.. when she took Bart and Lisa to Duff Gardens. "Oh, this looks like fun...a bench." Cracks me up, too.

Doctorb! The 'b' is for bargain!

I haven't been watching any of the newer episode not because people say its not funny but that I don't have time or not at home to catch it. I tried to catch it last sunday and forgot to watch it. I'll watch every episode no matter how low or bad it might be. I'm buying all the DVD's that are coming out. Has anyone called that number to change the cases back to the old ones? As in season 6 has a Homer Head other then season set 1-5 have. If anyone has tell me what you said. I love Homer Head but would like to see one every once in awhile. Love the Simpons forever!

I watched Treehouse of Horror XV last Sunday on FOX (rerun! ) and I totally got the reference to Fantastic Voyage in the 2nd story. Then, Homer gets left behind in Mr. Burns's body! Funn-eee! :embarrassed:

Yeah, I remember that box thing. The sarcastic insert in the dvd advertising the replacement box was hilarious.
