Not exactly related to the commercial but on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno tonight (3/3/05) Kevin Eubanks and the Tonight Show Band played Mahna Mahna to introduce the second guest, "The Goose Lady". It was a very upbeat and funky version of the song, and was a nice little treat.

yeah its a great little muppet bit, but i hate seeing it used this way,

all i can think is that jim must be rolling in his grave, :attitude:
I agree. Pretty tacky.

I've always been against the use of the Muppets in stupid ways. There is a differance between ridiculous/goofy as in the Muppet Show and dumb, like most of the modern ads featuring the Muppets or Muppet songs. Perhaps I feel this way because Jim is no long around to control the level of tact in the projects where the Muppets are involved.

But like usual I'm sure I'm in the minority on this one. :smirk:

I love that commercial, I wish I had a Mahna Mahna ringtone. My phone plays actual songs on it too so that would be really awesome but I have no clue how to find one.
