There has been a Debate in the Brock House hold about the way I position the eyes of my puppets, I don't see it But my family alway notices that I make my puppets cross eyed, I think it is very cute and fits the puppet. The other thing is they said it makes the puppet Look Mad, I don't see it.

Tell Me what you think! I want to sell these puppets and if the eye placement is going to stop people from buying I want to know.

Here's the Puppet her name is Jill, http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f299/beltar/DSC00637.jpg

I like the cross eyed look for puppets all of mine are cross eyed to a degree i think they look madder if the arent slightly crossed actually, Jill looks great with those eyes.

yes...the eyes are crosseyed...Personally...I would not buy a crosseyed puppet....because it doesn't focus on anything...and wouldn't be able to at any time...plus it looks like Jill is looking up.....it might fit the character if the character were mildly stupid....because thats what crossed eyes means...not cute or young....

just my feelings.......

I like the designs, but it might bother me if I saw all the characters in a show had this type of eye design.

But over all, I like the design.

Cheers,

William

Jill IS cross-eyed. But that's a style point - cross-eyed kids - right? I like it.

However, you would probably have better success on E-bay with eyes focused like Sophia Maria on your site - eyes veering toward the center but not what one would call "cross-eyed". I think the cross-eyed kids would be great in a video short or video web series where you could really make the style and the characters live, but the general public on E-bay would be a tougher sell. Unfortunately there is a fine line between what's creative, and unique and what sells.

Yes she does look mad, more mad than cross eyed to me. If you really want her cross eyed, but not mad, you can move the pupils down a bit, lower on the eye, but still keep them hugging that inner edge of the eyes. The other option is to change the eyelid so that it's not so close to the pupil. That's the main problem that makes her look mad is that the eyelids are too close to the pupil. It makes you think that her eyelids/brows are drawn down in a frown, when in reality it's the pupil that is up.

The rest of the design looks good so I'd probably buy it and then fix the pupils more to my liking. But I don't know that the average consumer would go to that trouble.
