There was an old story from a Sesame Street magazine in the 70's involving Grover and Bert. I can't say for sure that it was never on the show, but I tend to think this was just written for the magazine. The story is about Grover, outside his apartment, working on a garden that he has somewhere on the property. Bert comes out and Grover asks him for help, but Bert says that he came out to read his book and will be too busy. Grover accepts that and proceeds to work in his garden, but while Bert is sitting on the steps reading, he keeps looking up and telling Grover what he's doing wrong in his planting of the seeds. Grover looks at Bert. Grover says something like, "I am mad. I am not just mad. I am Mad, Mad, Mad! You are too busy to help me, but you are not too busy to tell me what to do!" Bert realizes that Grover is right, so he puts down his book and starts to help him. Anyone else remember this magazine story?
