She was also in Shaft with Sam L Jackson. She also played a bit part in a canceled late 80s midseason replacement FM Radio. I saw the pilot taped many years ago. I just remembered that. Geez, she was in everything.

My mom just told me that she died. I hadn't heard that on the news. I loved Carmen Sandiego, and she was the perfect person to play the chief. (I also was crazy about the theme song!) IT's very sad to lose two such important PBS personages in such a short time.
