Dear Muppet fans and collectors,
I was wondering if you could help me.
In the mid 90's whilst browsing in an art and craft shop in Liverpool, UK I found 3 Muppet easy stitch pattern kits (Fozzie Bear, Gonzo and Animal) so as a huge Muppet collector of any sort of merchandise I purchased them on impulse. The packaging informed me that these kits were produced in 1989 by a company in Bolton UK that manufactered long stitch kits called Coats Craft Anchor. In all they produced 6 cross stitch kits, each one depicting a different Muppet character: Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Rowlf, Gonzo and Animal. In 2008 I found the fourth to add to the collection in original packaging (Rowlf) thanks to eBay, and just this week found my fifth (Kermit the Frog) again in its original packaging and again thanks to eBay.
So the only one that is missing from my set is Miss Piggy and I need help finding her.
After finding and buying Kermit it gave me the motivation to complete the set so I am now on a mission to find Miss Piggy
.
I telephoned several people who I found through Google who had needlework stores and societies in UK and USA, including Coats Craft Anchor themselves, who were no help. The only advice that two lovely sympathetic ladies gave me was to post threads (no pun intended) to website forums like this to ask if any subscribers can help me in any way. So I thought where better to start then MUPPET CENTRAL!
I can not find any pictures of the kits on the internet to show people what the kits would look like...however I have found a website that is currently selling the Rowlf and Gonzo kits from the series to give you an idea of what Miss Piggy will look like.

Type 'Muppets' into the search engine to see the Gonzo and Rowlf kits.
The Miss Piggy cross stitch kit is not worth that much value so I would hope someone would be willing to sell it to me. I don't care what state the kits is in...either complete, partially complete or unopened (even if the threads and needles are missing or in tact). All I do ask for is that the cross stitch pattern comes in its original plastic frame with no cracks, splits or damage.
Can anyone help me complete this nearly 20 years quest?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Yours MUPPETLY
