I heard scooter was involved in some cage dancing, I could be wrong but I did hear something on MC forum about it.

Hi! ---I have been looking into Scooter's "dissapearence" for quite some time. I have asked everyone and anyone I can get a hold of and this is what I came up with for Scooter.
After the man which brought him to life, Richard Hunt, died, he was temporarily retired because nobody wanted to do him. he was, as a few muppeteers said, "too close to Richard." Later Scooter did appear in, "Muppets from Space" in 1992 performed by Adam Hunt, Richard's brother. He also appeared in Muppetfest, where an unidentified female muppeteer operated him. His most recent appearance is in "A very merry muppet christmas" where Brian Henson muppeteered him.
That is all I could find about Scooter. He is my faveorite muppet and I hope he begins to appear more.
